Handmade Body Balm

Lard has a long history in traditional skin care. Its fatty-acid composition makes it a useful ingredient in balms designed to soften and condition the skin, helping to leave it feeling supple and smooth. Combined with nourishing plant oils and beeswax, it creates a rich balm that melts with the warmth of your hands and glides easily over the skin.

We make our Body Balm with lard from our own pasture-raised pigs and beeswax from our own farm. We combine these with olive oil and baobab oil, then add essential oils for a subtle fragrance. Each ingredient has a purpose: the oils help soften and condition the skin, while beeswax gives the balm its structure, adds skin-soothing properties, and helps form a protective layer on the skin.

Use it as part of your daily skin-care routine on dry areas, or warm a little between your palms for a relaxing massage. A small amount goes a long way.Made by hand with carefully chosen ingredients, making good use of what our farm provides.
